Yavapai Lodge East

Yavapai Lodge East is Grand Canyon National Park Lodges’ largest facility that is nestled within the pinyin and juniper woodlands, about 1/4-mile from the South Rim and AIR CONDITIONED rooms. (This is the only lodging facility besides the El Tovar with central air conditioning in the EAST rooms only.) The rooms have either one king or two queen sized beds, refrigerator, coffee maker and a modem port.

Yavapai Lodge West

Yavapai Lodge is the Grand Canyon National Park’s largest lodging facility, nestled within the pinyon and juniper woodlands and about a quarter mile from the South Rim. The rooms have either one king or two queen sized beds, refrigerator, and coffee maker. With modern newly renovated rooms and many services within walking distance, this is a convenient place for families.

Maswik Lodge North

Maswik Lodge is located in a wooded area near the South Rim of the Grand Canyon Village, inside the Grand Canyon National Park. If you’re not up to walking, you can catch a free shuttle directly in front of the lodge that will take you right to the rim. The Maswik Lodge has a cafeteria, sports bar, and gift shop.

Maswik is an especially good choice for families, as all rooms offer two queen-size beds, a full bath, telephone and television. The size of the guestrooms at Maswik vary depending on which area of the lodge you are staying in.

Maswik Lodge South

Maswik Cabin

During summer, Maswik has available guest rooms in ten rustic cabins. Like the standard lodge rooms these rustic cabins have mostly two queen beds although some just offer two double beds. The cabins are equipped with ceiling fans and private shower as well as telephone and televisions.

Kachina Lodge

The Kachina Lodge in Grand Canyon Village is located right along the edge of the Grand Canyon South Rim. The rooms at Kachina Lodge each have either two queen beds or one king bed. Many of the rooms have a partial canyon view, and all rooms include in-room coffee, television, telephone, refrigerator, safe, and full bath. All rooms are non-smoking. (All rooms at the canyon are nonsmoking.)

Thunderbird Lodge

This family-oriented lodge is situated at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The Thunderbird Lodge is conveniently located between El Tovar and Bright Angel Lodge in the heart of the Grand Canyon Village Historic District. Thunderbird Lodge offers a contemporary style with architecture that blends in with its rocky and majestic surroundings. Many of the rooms include a partial canyon view making this a perfect place to stay. There’s no air-conditioning, but evaporative coolers keep the heat at bay.

El Tovar

 

In 1905 the El Tovar Hotel opened at the end of the railroad line and was considered to be one of the most elegant hotels west of the Mississippi. Since then, this is the only first class hotel in the Grand Canyon Village. The hotel has hosted such luminaries as Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein and many others. The El Tovar is a National Historic Landmark and retains its elegant surroundings that take you back in time.

Bright Angel Lodge

 

Located in the Grand Canyon Village within close proximity to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Bright Angel Lodge is ideally located in the Village center for quick and easy access to some of the parks most beloved and popular hiking trails and visitor attractions. There is a family-style restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Another option for lunch and dinner, the Arizona Room features Southwestern cuisine. During the warm summer months, the lodge opens an old-fashioned ice cream fountain. There is a gift shop, lounge, and history room open all year.

Bright Angel Cabin

 

Bright Angel Lodge, designed in 1935, has a natural, rustic character, and is a Registered National Historic Landmark. Designed by famed architect Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, it has always been a popular place to stay being located in the Grand Canyon Village just a few feet from the Canyon South Rim.
